Welcome to the Department of Economics at Tulane University. The faculty conduct research and teach courses in the areas of public economics, economic development, labor economics, health economics, environmental economics, economic history, international economics, urban economics, and econometrics. The Department is composed of 15 regular faculty members, 2 professors of practice, 4 postdoctoral teaching fellows, several adjunct and visiting faculty members, and over 200 undergraduate majors.
