Castaneda received his B.A. with emphasis in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Alaska in Juneau and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis. He teaches microeconomics, industrial organization, and game theory. His research is about the implications of incomplete contracts and asymmetric information for understanding the organization of production.
